Delightful, tidy little station. Friendly, helpful staff in mornings. Very nice, warm, clean, nostalgic ticket office and a well-kept ladies loo. Yes, it's closed alot as not busy off-peak and if tkt machine is out of order, easy to buy tkt on train from guard. Though frequently unstaffed, this station is as good as it can be.
Its always busy
One the machine is always broken and will only take exact change, and the station office is never open buying a ticket is almost impossible. Its especially hard because (I only go to Lewes) there is no ticket machines accessible inside the station. However I have to go there most of the week so I think something needs to be sorted out soon.
Part of my daily commute, toilets are always locked and there are no stff and the ticket office is always closed. Serving a half hourly service to Brighton via Lewes and half hourly services to seaford.
This train station comes across as a derelict station. It is also in an industrial area.. yuk
